Frans Mantero, the founder of the company was born in small city, Ende, in Flores island, famous for its natural green stone beach. When he was little he spent most of his time in the beach, growing up he realized how true natural beauty can be offered from the stone, he wonders it will be nice if people can have this feel at home. In year 1987, he started stone business with great optimism that everybody will love stone as much as he does, at the very least enjoying its presence.

To preserve nature and help local people, he opted to do handpick to mine the stone and rejected the use of machinery to avoid damaging the environment.  This thought is also based from the understanding that the surroundings of mining area are very dry, very little rain during the year so local people are very poor and unable to depend on farming to support their lives. By handpicking stones, many people can now depend on selecting stone to gain income.  Whilst the kids go to school, parents can go to the beach and select the stone. In this way, helping the community and country in terms of retribution and export.

As expected, many people around the world loves our pebble stone, the business proven to be successful so there is a need to add more collections and started to source for beautiful stone in many islands around Indonesia, Rofenty Stone always have concession ownership and open warehouses in each location to ensure continuity of stone, timely arrangement and to provide support for the local people that they will always have their daily jobs.

Rofenty Stone grows rapidly and started to export in 1990, first country we export was USA, nowadays, we exports to America, France, Netherland, Italy, Australia, Asian countries and Middle East. Having the expertise in sourcing the raw materials for stone and assurance about continuity of supply, in year 2000 we started to enter mosaic tile market providing Indonesian stone products such as Marble mosaic tile, Cut Marble Pebble stone tile, Sliced pebble tile, Mini pebble tile, Pebble border, Mini pebble border, Pool tile, Micro pebble, Stacked pebble, Calades, and Mosaic sandstone. 

In Rofenty Stone, to achieve quality products we do in house processing starting from selection of materials, cutting,tumbling, netting, packing and delivering the products, all the process is manually done, handmade by the skilled labors. In 2005, the daughter, Lisnawati Mantero joins Rofenty Stone becoming the second generation in the company. As for now we have 9 warehouses across all our stone locations, 5 warehouses in java island occupying total of 78,000 m2 and 900 workers around Indonesia.
